JOB TITLE: TEACHERS - Elementary (Gr.K-6) (four positions available)

SALARY RANGE: $53,743 - $94,181 (depending on qualifications & experience)

Gaglardi Academy has four full-time elementary teaching positions available for the 2026-2027 school year. These positions are due to staff movement and student population growth. These are full-time positions from August 31, 2026 to June 25, 2026 and may continue into future years. PJGA is a growing interdenominational Grade K-12 independent Christian school in the beautiful Comox Valley, British Columbia. We are committed to providing a purposeful, well-planned academic curriculum with programs focused on skill development in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Our teachers are passionate about discipleship and lifelong learning. Staff teach the BC curriculum through a Christian, biblical worldview and create caring, collaborative communities of learners. We are associated with the Society of Christian Schools in British Columbia (SCSBC).

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is a team-oriented professional with a passion for Christ, children, and learning. The successful candidate must provide a pastoral reference and be willing to sign a Community Code of Conduct Agreement. Qualities and skills for the ideal candidate should include, but are not limited to:

  • Must be a committed, church-attending Christian
  • Must be a BC-certified teacher for the 2026-2027 school year
  • Willing to work collaboratively, planning, teaching, and assessing within a team-based environment
  • Experience in teaching primary and intermediate grades would be an asset
  • Committed to and practicing differentiated instruction and Universal Design for Learning strategies
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding and use of formative and summative assessments
  • Familiar with Google Workspace (i.e. Google Classroom) and using technology
  • Interest in assisting with extra-curricular programs and involvement in school life would be an asset
  • Able to integrate a biblical worldview into all lessons
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management skills
