Position Overview:

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) to join our team full-time. The ECEA will support the Lead Educator in providing a safe, engaging, and Christ-centred learning environment for young children. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and eager to support children during these foundational years.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Lead Educator in implementing daily activities and routines based on early learning principles.

  • Assist in creating a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through play-based learning.

  • Provide supervision and guidance during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions.

  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and team members.

  • Model kindness, patience, and Christian values in all interactions.

  • Follow licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and centre policies.


Qualifications:

  • Valid ECEA certification (required).

  • Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or early learning setting (preferred).

  • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a caring, team-oriented attitude.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators and families.

  • Commitment to Christian education and modelling Christ-centred values.


Preferred:

  • First Aid & CPR certification.

  • Experience in a faith-based or play-based early learning environment.

  • Familiarity with BC Early Learning Framework.
