“Equipped For Every Good Work”

OVERVIEW

Phil and Jennie Gaglardi Academy is inviting applications for its 2026 Principal.  The position will start August 2026 and is a full-time position.  We are seeking a faith-filled, visionary leader to steward and guide our discipleship-driven K-12 Christian school through its next season of growth and impact.  As Principal, you will lead in partnership with our dedicated faculty, Board, families, and community as we invest in students to see them grow in knowledge, character, leadership and passion so they may be equipped for every good work.

THE SCHOOL | PHIL AND JENNIE GAGLARDI ACADEMY

Mission

To lead students to understand and experience the wonders of God's saving grace, the love of Jesus, and the empowering of the Holy Spirit through education, athletics, the arts, mentorship, and opportunity.

Vision

Our vision in the 2025/2026 school year is to see every student equipped for every good work.

Recent Changes

Our school has been undergoing many exciting changes in recent years.  The school is Kindergarten to grade twelve and in recent years many efforts have been made to increase the capacity for the growing student population.  We launched into our 2025/2026 school year with a new Library Learning Commons, a new Maker Space equipped with film and video editing equipment, and a new high school wing for grades 7-12, which includes seminar rooms, a woodworking shop, and a food-safe facility to operate a foods class.

Our 2026 school year also included the introduction of a new Faith Director position at Phil and Jennie Gaglardi Academy.  The position was created to strengthen the discipleship of our students by enhancing our chapel experiences, increasing one-on-one mentorship opportunities, supporting cross-curricular biblical education, and providing ministry leadership opportunities for students of all ages.

Tanzania

For over ten years our school has supported an exciting ministry in Tanzania called Juma’s World.  This ministry has  focused on giving orphaned children an opportunity to dream through education and creative arts.  The ministry builds bridges with local communities by caring for their needs and offering humanitarian aid in Jesus’ name.  Currently the organization is building a medical centre, to which our school has contributed significantly.  Every year our grad students are given the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Tanzania to support this ministry, stretch their faith in Jesus, grow in relationship with one another, and gain valuable perspective that comes from experiencing life in another culture.  Each class at the school finds ways to support Tanzania through the year to unify our efforts and share in the ministry!

THE COMOX VALLEY | LIVE, WORK, REST, PLAY, WORSHIP

Along with its vibrant churches and strong faith community, the Comox Valley is a great place to live, especially if you feel called to make it home. Tucked into the heart of Vancouver Island, it is perfectly positioned for exploring everything the island has to offer.

If you love the outdoors, you’ll feel right at home. Mount Washington, Vancouver Island’s largest ski resort, is just a short drive away, and the nearby trails in Cumberland are a dream for mountain bikers. There are hikes for every level, whether you're after a quiet walk or a climb to a breathtaking viewpoint, and plenty of hidden swimming spots if you're up for some exploring. Fishing is popular here too, whether it’s on the lakes, rivers, or out on the ocean. And if golf is your thing, you’ve got no shortage of options, including the renowned Crown Isle.

The Valley has its share of local colour, too. Each spring, the Snowbirds put on a show overhead, and all year long the parks play host to music festivals, community events, and gardens in full bloom. And when it comes to food and drink, there’s plenty to enjoy from cozy coffee shops and award-winning breweries to locally loved restaurants and wineries. A few of the top spots are even connected to destination spas, such as the Kingfisher or Oh Spa, making it easy to relax and treat yourself.
