The virtue this month is Responsibility. I think we can generally agree that it is the desire of all parents to raise up responsible little people. We like and appreciate it when our children help out around the home and take ownership (responsibility) of jobs especially when they do them with all of their hearts and/or correctly! Take time this month to train your child in a new job or chore around your home. Teach them, encourage them, praise them and enjoy crossing one more thing off your "teach-my-child-how-to-do" list as you pass the torch of dishwashing, watering the garden, vacuuming, chopping kindling, etc.

Enjoy cultivating responsibility in your home this month!

If your children are ready to pray original prayers, you may wish to use the Bible verses provided under “Scripture-guided prayer for children.”

Memorizing Scripture with your children helps God’s Spirit bring about lasting change.

Our school memory verse for this month is: Colossians 3:23,24
Work at everything you do with all your heart.
Work as if you were working for the Lord, not for human masters.

The above link has many other verses that will help solidify the lessons on Responsibility. Use them as it fits with your family. Memorizing the Word of God is always a good thing.
