Our upcoming Earth Day celebration on April 22nd is dedicated to honouring the planet and fostering environmental stewardship in alignment with the biblical call to cherish and protect God's creation. This year, we're adding a colourful twist to the festivities by having our students wear their class colours!

Here's a breakdown of the day's activities:

11:45-12:15: Neighborhood Clean-Up and Picnic Lunch

  • Grades K/1/2/3/4/5/6/10-12: Neighborhood clean-up wearing your designated class colours. Let's make our community shine!
  • Grades 7-9: Will lead the charge in cleaning up our surroundings with their unique colour combinations.

12:15-12:50: Lunch and Free Time

  • Grades K/1/2/3/4/5/6/10-12: Enjoy a delicious sub lunch and some free time.
  • Grades 7-9: After ensuring our zones are litter-free, it's time to relax and recharge for the rest of the day.

1:00-1:45: Planting and Green Initiatives

  • All Grades: Let's get our hands dirty by planting and throwing grass seeds in our designated zones. Together, we'll nurture the earth and watch it flourish!

1:45-2:45 (Elementary): Earth Day Activities and Reflection

  • Grades K/1/2/3/4/5/6: Engage in interactive Earth Day activities in the classroom. Plus, we'll take our potatoes outside for some fresh air!
  • Intentional discussions and activities centred around biblical stewardship, inspired by Psalm 24:1-2.

1:45-3:00 (High School): Environmental Awareness and Engagement

  • Grades 10-12: Participate in Earth Day activities and discussions to raise environmental awareness and foster a culture of sustainability.

  • K/1 Split: Burgundy
  • Grade 1/2: Dark Green
  • Grade 2/3: Dark Blue
  • Grade 3: Light Blue
  • Grade 4: Light Green
  • Grade 5/6 : White
  • Grade 10-12: White
  • Grade 7-9’s
    • Mr Roy's Home Room - pink/red and dark red/burgundy
    • Mr Mckague's Home Room - light green and dark green
    • Mrs Oostenbrink & Mrs Tansky's Home Room - light blue and dark blue
