Job Title: Special Education Case Manager K-12

The Special Education Case Manager is a permanent, full-time position for the 2024-25 school year.


Candidates applying for this position must be:

  • A mature, committed, and church-attending Christian. 
  • A BC-certified teacher. 
  • Able to work with children from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in special education case management.
  • A willingness to participate in school life and activities.

Compensation:

$75,000-85,000, depending on years of teaching experience.  PJGA has an employer-paid health benefits program and a matching RRSP program.

Job Description:

  • Develop and write new IEP documents and schedule IEP meetings with parents, teachers and professional services.
  • Conduct and facilitate IEP meetings and other school-based team meetings.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff regarding caseload students and assist in making appropriate recommendations and accommodations.
  • Communicate and collaborate with families regarding individual student progress, including educational decisions and conduct.
  • Manage and schedule in-school professional services to support student needs (ie OT, counselling, speech, etc.)
  • Manage educational assistants and meet regularly to discuss case files.
  • Serve as an advocate for special education students.
  • Create classroom and supervision schedules for educational assistants.
  • Evaluate the performance of educational assistant staff.
  • Participate in ongoing and regular staff, team, and individual professional development.
