Job Title: Elementary Principal / Learning Support Manager Kindergarten to Grade 6 

This permanent position is split 60% as the Elementary Principal and 40% as the Elementary Learning Support Case Manager for the 2024-25 school year. 

Candidates applying for this position must be: 

  • A mature, committed, and church-attending Christian.
  • A BC-certified teacher.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Familiar with the new BC Curriculum and assessment practices. 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Optimistic, encouraging and energetic.
  • Be team-oriented and collaborative.
  • Have a minimum of 2 - 3 years experience as a Principal or leading others. Have an interest and experience in special education and working with families. A willingness to participate in school life and activities

Compensation: 

At Phil & Jennie Gaglardi Academy, Principals are paid based on their qualifying teaching years and years of post-secondary education using a pay grid developed by the Society of Christian Schools of B.C (SCSBC). The pay grid is updated annually. In addition to base pay, principals receive an administrative allowance for the school's size and the complexity of their duties. The allowance ranges from 1.15-1.20. The school has an employer-paid health benefits program and a matching RRSP program
