Position: Secondary School Principal (.4 FTE) & Secondary Learning Support Manager (.4 FTE), Course Teacher (.2 FTE) (posted May 12/23)

The contract is a one-year renewable contract from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, although the start date is August 28. Staff return to school from summer holidays beginning August 28. This position is ideally a full-time posting but we are willing to entertain other proposals for the right candidate.

We are looking for a new high school principal to join our team and foster a healthy learning environment for our middle and senior students. Your primary responsibilities will be supervising education staff, academic programs, and day-to-day high school operations. The new Principal will monitor and report teacher performance, recruit and interview potential new teaching staff, and in collaboration with others, organize school events and assemblies. The salary reflects your education and years of teaching experience.

As the high school learning support manager your primary role is to support students and families, managing student services, both external (counseling, PT, etc.) and internal (IEPs, EAs).  You are responsible for leading IEP meetings and updating student files. You will work collaboratively with the elementary LS manager, who previously managed this caseload. The ideal candidate has special education training and/or experience but this role can be mentored for the candidate that willing to learn.
