If you haven't yet read the email from Mrs Penner that was sent yesterday (Subject: Important Update Re: School Reopening), please do so to know about the delayed start to our school year. And if you are an essential service worker and in need of childcare from January 4-7, please click the link below to fill out our form. If you're not in need of childcare next week, we'll be seeing your children at a later date, probably Monday, January 10, 2022. Here's hoping!

Due to the delayed start of school, our grade 12s' Bottle Drive for Tanzania is postponed until the week of January 10-14. Thanks for letting them take up room in your shed or garage in support of our grads!

Please remember there is NO parking in the drop-off and pick-up zone in front of the school. If you need to park, please use the street.

Also, NO dogs are allowed on school property during drop-off and pick-up times as well. If you must bring your pooch, please leave them in your vehicle during drop-off/pick-up times.

With all the blessings the lovely white stuff brings a new volunteer opportunity! While the snow in our parking lot has been taken care of, our sidewalks have not. This is where you come in! :D We need your help with shovelling the sidewalks along the chain-link fence, in front of the school and the walkways at the portables. The snow clearing needs to be completed before January 4, 2022, so anytime you can come with some shovels or a snowblower on the weekend, we would most appreciate it! Thanks!

Hello families!

Due to the delayed school start, we will now be extending the hot lunch ordering window until Jan 7/22 @ 4 pm!

For those of you who have already ordered and placed an order for Jan 7 (Quality Foods Chinese Food), your accounts have been credited as there will be no hot lunch that day due to school closure.

Please ensure your orders for Jan/Feb hot lunch are placed by 4 pm on Jan 7 and as a reminder, if paying by cash/cheque, please drop payment off at the school office no later than noon on Jan 11, 2022.

If you have a child entering Kindergarten in September 2022 (or you have friends and family who do!), this is a perfect opportunity for you and your child to see what Kindergarten at PJGA is all about. There are two 45-minute afternoon sessions which are free of charge and include various educational activities, a snack for the participant, plus a Get-Ready-for-Kindergarten kit to take home. All you need to do is register by clicking the link below!

If you still want to vote for our school tree in the Festival of Trees, you can donate now until January 5. Text "TREE088" to 45678 or you click the link below. All proceeds go directly to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and any donation over $20 can be a tax credit. Remember to email your donation confirmation code (with your child's name and teacher) to Mrs Piper at isabelle@gaglardiacademy.ca, so she can track numbers.
