Lost & Found...again.
Well, you probably noticed that the items in Lost & Found were not placed outside for viewing on Monday. Our apologies for this once again. Obviously, we're having difficulty remembering such things. Last time's the charm though! Or so we're hoping. This time, you can expect Lost & Found items to be outside in the undercover area on Monday, April 12, from 2:30-3:00 pm. Yes. Yes, you can. |

High School Lock Out
Student Council is running a high school event on Friday, April 16, called High School Lock Out where students will come to the school from 7:00-10:00 pm for an evening of food, sports, and other fun activities OUTSIDE the building! This will be awesome as it is a way students can connect with one another and have fun, while still being COVID-safe. The parking lot is NOT a parking lot.
It's actually called our "Drop & Go Zone" and we're noticing that a few cars have been parking there during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. In case you forgot or you are new to the school, this is a no-no. We have an official system in place for safe student drop-off and pick-up, and parking. In order for the system to run smoothly, everyone needs to follow these super important rules. See the above diagram and read the rules below. To drop-off your child ONLY:
To park and walk your child to the school ONLY (which you will need to do if you have children in grades K-3): park on the street (in the Park & Drop Zone). Then use the sidewalks to walk your child to the school. Do not cross through the Thru Traffic zone and Drop-off and Go Zone.

An answer to thoughts you may be wondering
Have you wondered about the charitable society under which our school Phil & Jennie Gaglardi Academy operates? All registered charities must file with the Charities Directorate a T3010 report each year to maintain their charitable status with the Canada Revenue Agency. This report is online and includes the financial data for the charity and all relevant data related to the charity like who is on the Board, disclosure of charitable donations, other associated charities, how funding for the charity is obtained, and if there is any financial indebtedness. Curious? Below is the link to the Charities Directorate's website. The society name is Northgate Christian Education Society. Check it out! https://apps.cra-arc.gc.ca/ebci/hacc/srch/pub/dsplyBscSrch?request_locale=en |
What play structure! Many thanks!
The brand-new grade 4-7 play structure is a big hit. Actually, that's a bit of an understatement. It's a really, really big hit! Our intermediate students have been enjoying the structure and Gaga Ball court wholeheartedly every chance they get and even high school students have wandered over to experience the excitement. We want to thank Kelly Hiller for all of her expertise in planning and selecting the equipment and Brent Ayley for coordinating the installation. Thanks goes out to the many volunteers that helped assemble the structure on March 13, 2021. We also want to acknowledge the generosity of all those who donated funds with special thanks to those who contributed over $1000: For more infomation visit: http://pjgaglardiacademy.ca/news/thanks-for-our-new-play-structure
