Next Year's Spring Break

We are in the process of finalizing our school calendar for the 2024-25 academic year. We would like your thoughts about when our Spring Break should be scheduled. The school district (SD71) has released a draft calendar, recommending March 17-31 as the Spring Break for that academic year.

Our school has two options for scheduling next year's Spring Break:

Option number 1: We align our break with SD71 - March 17-31
Option number 2: Our preferred option is to have a later but overlapping Spring Break - March 24 to April 4

Churches and organizations may prefer option one because, during Spring Break, they hold camps, VBS, and other exciting activities for children and families.

The school prefers option two as it gives more even learning time before and after Spring Break, helping students, especially those taking exams at the end of the year, feel more energized and prepared. It is also good to note that Easter is later in April 2025.

Pie the Principal!

Pie the Principal!

Get ready for a sweet twist on giving back!

This Pi Day, Thursday the 14th, let's turn our spare change into something amazing! Prepare for the ultimate "Pie the Principal" showdown between Mr. Bae and Mrs. Penner.

Here's the scoop: Bring in your coins and drop them into either Mr. Bae's or Mrs. Penner's coin jar all week. At the end of the day on Thursday, the principal with the heaviest jar will get pied in the face by the other!

Let's rally together for a good cause and have a blast while doing it. Every coin counts, so raid those piggy banks, check under the couch cushions, and bring in your change to support a great cause in Tanzania.

Don't miss out on the fun – let's see who's getting a face full of pie on Pi Day!
