Don't come to school tomorrow, May 20, since it's the start of a 4-day long weekend! Woot. The Victoria Day Weekend mini-break is from May 20-23. Enjoy it to the full!  And remember, the first day back on Tuesday, May 24, is a formal uniform day!

The librarian would like you to know that May 24-27 is the final week of K-7 library classes and the last opportunity students will have to check out library books. The due date for all books to be returned is Friday, June 3.

It’s Hide it in your Heart week! At this point in the show, students who have been memorizing scripture all year for this award (presented at the Academy Awards in June), need to recite the full list of required passages sometime between May 24-27 to be eligible for the award. Grades K to 5 may recite a full passage at a time to their teacher (and complete all passages by the end of May) to be eligible. 

From Tuesday-Friday next week, there will be a blue Rubbermaid Bin inside the foyer of the main school doors to accept your uniform donations. PAC's next Used Uniform Sale is on Friday, June 10, from 2:30-4:00 pm in the undercover area. Any questions can be emailed to Sandy Robinson at gaglardipacuniforms@gmail.com. 

Grades 5 and 6 students have a fun overnight trip at Camp Bob on Thursday and Friday, May 26-27. Make sure students pack everything they'll need for a great overnight stay including weather appropriate clothing. For more details and a permission form, click the link below.

K-7 students are participating in a Christian School track meet at the Vanier track on Thursday, May 26, from 9:00 am-2:00 pm. Children need to be dropped off at the Vanier track at 8:45 am; pick up is at 2:00 pm. Permission forms are to be handed into the office or classroom teacher by Tuesday, May 24. 

On Friday, May 27, we're having a Jeans Day fundraiser for Care-a-Van, a nonprofit that gives medicine and health care to the homeless. All students may participate by donating $1.00 to wear jeans and $1.00 for each additional non-uniform article of clothing. 

We need parent volunteers to help us with our K-6 Sports Day on Friday, June 24. Volunteers will meet at the flagpole at 9:00 am to receive instructions and help set up. Tear down/clean up will be from 12:00-12:30 pm. Come out and participate to help complete your volunteer hours AND have fun at the same time! At our pep rally on Tuesday, Mr McKague issued a challenge to K-12 students to create a mascot design and/or slogan for our Arrows team name. All designs need to be submitted by June 1 to homeroom/classroom teachers or in Mrs Johnson's mailbox in the office. Looking forward to seeing students' creativity!

Just in time for Father's Day! Order forms went home this week and need to be completed and returned by June 3. Order pick up is on June 17 at 3 pm. Questions? Email amanda@anwtrucking.com.

Thank you to all who participated in the Cake & Ice Cream Fundraiser for Ukraine yesterday afternoon. The After-school Club received $202.50! 100% of the proceeds will be sent to Hope Haven Canada to help Ukrainian refugees in Romania. Thanks again for your generosity!
