We need volunteers!
It's Spring! And at school, Spring means a lot of grounds maintenance. If you still need to complete your 25 volunteer hours for this year, this is a great opportunity! We're looking for volunteers who will rake and spread grass seed, take the extra mulch around the new playground to the school garden, weed the flower bed and prep it for new plants and shrubs that will require less maintenance. We also need a volunteer with a truck to get a load of dirt for our front garden. Any takers? Contact Mrs Mulgrew at accounts@gaglardiacademy.ca if you can help with some or one of these tasks. Thanks in advance! For more infomation visit: |
Art Cards by Kids school fundraiserThis just in from PAC: Your child has been hard at work creating a beautiful piece of art with their teachers to be printed into cards or made into a keepsake! Sometime this week, a sample card was sent home with their name and age on the back, so you can see what the final product will look like. Their art can also be turned into puzzles, plaques, ornaments and/or sun catchers, all available for you to order. Please take a look and be sure to place your online order no later than April 18th! The students, teachers and volunteer parents have worked hard on this project and we are so proud of how it turned out. Enjoy! Order uniforms from Cambridge by June 15
You should have received an email this morning with updated ordering procedures at Cambridge Uniforms for new and returning families. If not, I've included it below 'cause I like to be helpful. The most important thing to note is that you need to order by June 15 so your uniform order arrives before the start of school in September. And if you order between May 1 and June 15, and your order is over $150, you get free shipping. Woot! When you do place your order, remember to account for your child's growth that will happen over the summer!

Thanks to all who helped install our K-3 playground
In case you didn't know as of April 4, our playground is 100% installed. The dedicated volunteers that helped install our K-3 playground are very much appreciated through the smiles, laughter, and community gatherings that we have witnessed since January. Gratitude to those who helped bring this wonderful addition to our school goes out to Laura Reid, Cory Cameron, Michael Pitcher, Jery Gadzinski, Mark Beeler, Ali Jannati, Ryan Renkema. A big shout out also to Jamie Rennison of Tippin Point Contracting and his crew that installed the final piece over Spring Break and who are tremendous supporters of our school through their help and generosity. And a final thank you to Mrs Marshall's classroom who, on the first day back from Spring Break, filled in the hole around the final installed Spinner with wood chips. Thank you!
