If you’re looking to volunteer to drive students on field trips and wondering where to begin, you’ve come to the right place! In order to drive, you will need a few things such as:

A Consent to Criminal Record Check. If you haven’t applied for this, please do so first. Return to the Parent Page and you’ll find a button titled “Criminal Record Check”. Clicking this button will take you to the BC Ministry of Justice site where you can apply online. BUT if you’ve already done this, then…

Contact ICBC for you’re Driver’s Abstract. There are a couple ways to do this:

Online: Click here to get your Driver’s Abstract

Telephone: Call 1-800-950-1498 for your complete driving record to be faxed to the school. The school fax number is 250-339-1215.

After requesting your records, you will need to bring a copy of your driver’s license to the school office as well as a copy of your insurance papers showing at least $5,000,000 in third-party liability insurance.

Also in order to drive for field trips, your vehicle must be in sound mechanical condition and is safe for transporting students and have working seatbelts for each passenger.

Thanks for wanting to volunteer to drive our students!

Note: Driver's Abstracts will need to be redone every new school year.
